You should notice a major difference in the way your screen looks. The scaling might be set to 150 per cent or higher in some cases. You can disable this by going to Settings > Display. A higher resolution screen renders smaller text, menus and buttons but this is counter-productive when you are trying to run more windows at once. This forces windows and text to appear larger despite having a higher resolution. Windows sets up most laptops and PCs running high resolution displays to use larger fonts and window scaling. There is one more thing we need to do before we get started. It’s a free application by Microsoft and you can download it from. The solution is a feature within PowerToys called FancyZones. This wastes time, and it’s stressful on your fingers and wrist when you are doing that a few hundred times a day. It’s easier to just run one window at once, but that also means you’re constantly alt-tabbing between them.
That’s part of the benefit, but it also comes with some confusion – managing the several windows on the screen. A 4K TV for example, can run four 1920 x 1080 screens at once. This is why a full HD or 4K monitor or TV makes much better sense than the usual 1366 x 768 screen.
